2020, Wow
We certainly didn’t see that coming, did you? As 2021 is almost here, we have hope. Hope that COVID-19 will be manageable. Hope that our families will be able to be literally close together and safe at the same time. Hope that the small businesses deeply affected will not only recover fully, they will thrive.
2020, Small Town
Windsor saw adjustments and creative new ways to reach/shop from our local businesses. Listed are a few of our favorites.
- Tami’s Head Lines
- Tami offered curbside pick up right away and continued until they were able to officially reopen. Many of us picked up products during this time, Sandy (that’s me) included.

- Bob’s Barber Shop
- Cassie is now taking appointments, which is needed to control the number of people in the shop at one time. Walk-ins can sometimes be accommodated, but best to call first. 802-674-2648
- Boston Dreams
- Order online and curbside pickup is the way to shop from Boston Dreams and they are awesome at it!
- Pizza Chef
- Windsor’s Pizza Chef will not have the full house they are used to on a Friday night for a while, but the take out they have always offered, continues to keep them very busy. 802-674-6861
- Yummy Yummy
- Continues with take out only, which is what most folks did anyway. 802-674-6888
- Sisters Weekend Marketplace
- The once a month shopping destination. Shopping by appt!
- Windsor Wine & Spirits
- Water damage occurred during early COVID, and though considered essential, Rice had to close for repairs. At some point he decided it was time for a move to a new, larger location! 31 Depot Ave., go to the left, past the Windsor Station, cross the railroad tracks, follow the signs… Congrats Rice, the new space is amazing.

- Reservations required for limited indoor seating, following the covid-19 safety guidelines.
2020, Craft Fairs
The craft fairs that we usually attend were cancelled for the 2020 holiday season, with good reason. Online orders for us increased, and actually, went well. Locals wanted to shop from locals! Friends and acquaintances wanted to support the folks they knew, or were recommended by someone they knew. Let’s keep this trend going, please? The Connolly-Morse mudroom was transformed into our Creative Woodworking display area, for safe, socially distant viewing and shopping. Masks on!
