Long River Gallery & Gifts, located in rural Lyme, NH is operated by Dave and Lisa Celone. If you haven’t stopped in to check what they offer, we highly recommend that you do. Easy to find, bordering the Connecticut River alongside Vermont neighbor town, Thetford.Bud and I were able to meet with Dave, tour the shop and have to say we are..VERY impressed with not only the selection of gifts and artwork, but the quality offered. Well done you guys, we are thrilled to be one of your chosen woodworkers.
Lucky for us, Tracy Gillespie was shop sitting on Saturday, so we were able to meet her. Hi Tracy!
Shown here in cherry, this handmade wooden rocker is not only unique and gorgeous, it’s extremely comfortable. Why is it so comfortable? Find out at the link provided below.
So many artists, artisans and crafters are featured, we know that you’ll be impressed too. We also noticed a few fellow Vermont Hand Crafters! So, here is a shout out to some of them…
Hi Stacie, we are thinking about you!
Kris! Sandy (that’s me) loved every basket she could find – every single one. Simply wonderful, sturdy, smooth and so beautiful. Side note – twin girls rock!
Clay Whistles, handmade by Mary Stone, are so creative and talk about a fun gift idea!
Sarah is an artist, author and illustrator. Sloggers feature her designs on their Chicken Collection Rain Boots and Garden Shoes…how cool is that?!!
Sandra’s hand crafted designs are built around the stones/gems she chooses and states that she is inspired by nature. Who’s going to argue? Her work shows it, thoughtful and stunning.
John creatures sculpture art in various sizes using copper and metals. The bikes shown below are just one of his many, many designs. A fabulous gift idea for the person who has everything, or a collector? Yes, we think so.
Creative Woodworking and Big Paw Woodworks offer handmade wooden cutting boards in end grain patterns as well as face grain. Hi Wayne, love your basketweave design! Serving Trays and Cribbage Boards (soon) are also available.
Guess what? Our friends Lada and Lenka – Route 4 Glass Blowing – who are also located in historic Windsor, VT. have pieces available at Long River. It’s always fun running into an artist that you know.
Ok, I guess it’s time to wrap this up.
Thank you Dave and Lisa. CHEERS to Long River Gallery & Gifts and all the very talented connections you have built, over 150 local artists and artisans. We have only shown a very small sampling. Don’t forget to stop in if you are in the area…if you aren’t, it’s worth a special trip (trust us)!
