I have a hunch, I mean a hutch for you. This design is a winner, from the molding cap to the glass shelves.
Molding Cap
Glass Shelves Anyone??
Open shelving above weighted with a base cabinet with doors below. Raised panels on the doors, and the finished ends, the ogee curve in the gives a bit of a formal look. A small bead is attached to the open frame (afterwards) so pretty. The cherry wood is so blonde when new – this piece has deepened in color tremendously. (I’ll try to get an updated pic)!
Our Cherry Hutch
A new version of this would have LED lighting (not sure of the detail yet). Next up? Floating Shelves!!
Floating Shelf from Reclaimed Wood!!
Remember, we are all about special orders, so tell us about your project!!
The best wood species for your project, depends on the project scope (of course). Today we are discussing walnut for cabinetry, counter tops and accessories.
Bring on the Walnut!
Walnut
Black Walnut – Juglans nigra
Native to the Eastern US and Canada – Cool
Straight Grain – Nice
Sap Wood – FUN
Sap wood will add just the right amount of character. See below for options.

Keeping it Simple?
Whether you are interested in custom cabinetry, a counter top, a picture frame or a cutting board – we happily recommend walnut wood.
This past year has been crazy – crazy good actually. Learning so much as our little side project grows. Thank you to our friends, new and old, your support and encouragement means so much. Each client, new and repeat, all who have one (or more) of our wooden cutting boards and perhaps a serving tray – you all ROCK.
In 2015, we will have new designs as well as new products, stay tuned. Please keep in mind that Emery (a.k.a. Bud) is a finish carpenter and cabinet maker, offering artisan quality in all that he creates. Sub-contracting is available and you won’t be sorry – trust me.
Hope Chest in Cherry
Remember the hope chest? How about the hutch?
Hutch in Cherry
This hutch has it all. The crown molding detail, the glass shelves even the puck light.

Custom cabinetry for this high end residential renovation was great fun – cherry cabinets with walnut pegs.
